      一路從傳統漁村、火力發電廠演變成海洋科技展示館的國立海洋科技博物館，兼具人與自然共生、人與歷史接軌、科技與人文融合的建館使命；擁有豐富的展覽與生態資源，具有環山面海的地理位置優勢，以及腹地廣大和鄰近港口的特性。
      善用既有的資源，結合地方文創，延續海科館之互動教育意涵，傳承八斗子感動之在地漁村特色文化，規劃體驗活動增添整體空間的趣味性與豐富性，並以更友善生態的方式讓人們能貼近自然、吸引客群。
